Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter
\n£20.00 - £22.00 per hour
\nLocation: Alfreton, Derbyshire
\nOur client is looking for an experienced Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter to join their team. The role involves carrying out repairs, maintenance and electrical installations on heavy plant, road rail vehicles and associated equipment.
\nAuto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Overview

- Carry out repairs, servicing and maintenance on heavy plant and road rail vehicles. \n
- Install wiring looms and electrical components. \n
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults. \n
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and schematics. \n
- Build and assemble mechanical components. \n
- Use hand tools and equipment to a high standard. \n
- Work both at the depot and customer sites as required. \n
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures. \n
Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Requirements
\n- \n
- Strong electrical and mechanical background. \n
- Previous fitting and assembly experience. \n
- Experience working on heavy plant, HGV, quarry, waste, mining or similar equipment (car experience only is not suitable). \n
- Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics. \n
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. \n
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. \n
- Good communication skills and a strong team ethic. \n
- NVQ Level 3 in Auto Electrical Engineering or equivalent would be advantageous. \n
- Auto Electrical apprenticeship desirable. \n
- Full UK Driving Licence required. \n
Auto Electrical / Plant Fitter - Position Remuneration
\n- \n
- £20.00 - £22.00 per hour (dependent on experience). \n
- Full-time, permanent position. \n
- Death in Service non-contributory benefit scheme. \n
- Stable long-term opportunity. \n
- Opportunity to work on specialist heavy plant and road rail equipment. \n
- 08:30am to 16:30am Monday to Friday. \n
- Overtime opportunities may be available at time and a half during periods of high workload \n
