Job Description
Title: Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias Preferred)
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £45,000, soon to be increased
Industry: FMCG

Shift: 4 on, 4 off (4 Days / 4 Nights)

Key Multi-Skilled Engineer Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment. \n
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime. \n
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures. \n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and production performance. \n
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects as required. \n
- Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions. \n
- Complete maintenance records accurately using the site's maintenance management system. \n
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times. \n
- Participate in the shift rota, including working Bank Holidays as required within the food manufacturing operation. \n
Multi-Skilled Engineer Requirements:
\nEssential:
\n- \n
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities (electrical bias preferred). \n
- Experience in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. \n
- Minimum of 3 years' engineering experience within the food manufacturing or FMCG. \n
- Strong understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance techniques. \n
- Good project management skills with a detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation. \n
Desired:
\n- \n
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship. \n
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services. \n
