An award-winning design and engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Structural Design Engineer to support the delivery of innovative residential and mixed-use developments across the UK.

\n

Working within a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to projects that place sustainability, low-carbon design, and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) at the heart of delivery.

This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility whilst working on industry-leading developments. You will need to be able to manage and structure your workload whilst being content working away from a traditional collaborative and team led environment.

The Role

\n

As a Structural Design Engineer, you will:

\n
    \n
  • Prepare conceptual and outline structural designs
  • \n
  • Complete detailed structural calculations in line with Eurocodes and UK Building Regulations
  • \n
  • Design structures using concrete, steel, masonry, and timber
  • \n
  • Produce detailed design drawings and technical specifications
  • \n
  • Develop fully coordinated Revit construction drawings
  • \n
  • Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and project teams
  • \n
  • Attend site visits during construction phases to monitor progress and provide technical advice
  • \n
  • Support tender and construction information production
  • \n
  • Work independently whilst collaborating closely with senior engineering leadership
  • \n

About You

\n

To be considered, you will ideally possess:

\n
    \n
  • Experience as a Structural Engineer within residential, mixed-use, or commercial projects
  • \n
  • Strong technical knowledge across concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures
  • \n
  • Experience producing structural calculations to Eurocodes
  • \n
  • High proficiency in Revit
  • \n
  • Experience using structural design software such as:
  • \n
  • TEKLA Tedds
  • \n
  • SCIA Engineer
  • \n
  • Autodesk Robot
  • \n
  • Similar structural analysis packages
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • \n
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • \n
  • The ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
  • \n
  • Working towards or already holding MIStructE or MICE chartership
  • \n
