Job Description
Role: Customs Agent\n
Division: Woodside Global\n
Responsible to: Customs Team Manager\n
Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)\n
Shift pattern: Two shift patterns available:\n
Who are we?\n
\nWoodside Global is the customs clearance and freight-forwarding division of Woodside Logistics Group working both independently of and in conjunction with its sister transport divisions: Woodside Haulage, Woodside Tankfreight, Woodside Motorfreight and Woodside Distribution.\n
The Role:\n
\nWorking within Woodside Global, the freight forwarding and customs division of Woodside Logistics Group, this persons primary role will be handling import & export shipments and full Customs Clearance facilities across the UK and Ireland. Full training will be given on all aspects of Customs Clearance work although previous experience is advantageous.\n
The Person:\n
\nThe successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and be commercially aware with great attention to detail. They will work well as part of a team and will promote good working relationships with internal and external colleagues.\n
\nThey will liaise both internally & externally to ensure all customs procedures are followed, enabling the efficient movement of goods between and UK & Ireland North & South.\n

Essential criteria:\n
\n2 years' previous administrative experience working within a fast paced, busy office environment.\n
\n2 years' previous experience in the use of all Microsoft packages.\n
\nPrevious Customs Broker or Forwarding Agent experience.\n
\nPrevious experience working in a busy transport office or logistics background.\n

- Will possess excellent verbal, written, and communication skills with the ability to communicate across different media \n
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail. \n
- Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service to our customers, colleagues, and partners. \n
- Strong overall I.T. knowledge is essential as there will be exposure to several different operating systems. \n
Hours of Work:\n
Option 1:\n

- 40 hours per week \n
- Monday Friday, from 08:30 to 17:00 or 09:00 to 17:30 \n
- with 1 weekend in every 9 on call \n
Option 2:\n
\n
- \n
- 37.5 hours per week \n
- Monday to Friday from 11am to 7pm \n
- 1 in every 10 weekends (Sat: 9am to 3pm / Sun: on call with the Monday off in lieu) \n
