Position: HGV Driver / Drainage Engineer
Location: Stanley House, Rochester, ME2 4NF
Reporting to: Depot Manager

\nWe are currently seeking experienced and motivated HGV 2 Drivers to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, varied role combining driving with drainage engineering, offering excellent earning potential, job security, and long-term career opportunities.

\nWorking Hours
\n- \n
- Monday to Friday: 6:00am 4:00pm (50-hour contracted week) \n
- Regular overtime opportunities, including evenings, nights, and weekends \n
- Flexible working structure: \n
- Can work up to 12 consecutive working days, followed by a mandatory 48-hour rest period \n
- Working pattern aligned to an 18/6 schedule (up to 18-hour shifts including breaks, followed by 6 hours required downtime) \n

Salary & Earning Potential
\n- \n
- £16.10 per hour (£41,860 basic annual salary) \n
- Overtime paid at £24.15 per hour (time and a half after 50 hours) \n
- Significant earning potential through overtime can be £3k-5k+ monthly take home. But is dependent on the overtime you wish to do: \n
- Example: 25hours weekly overtime x£24.15=£603.75x 4weeks average in the month=£2415-20% Tax=£1932 on top of your normal basic take home monthly. (Please note that if you are to hit the higher tax threshold you would end up paying more tax) \n
- Call-Out Bonuses:£30 per weekday / £45 per weekend day \n

Key Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Operate specialist vehicles including jetting tankers, super suction tankers, and combination units (training provided) \n
- Respond to emergency callouts, including sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution incidents \n
- Work on both private and public land in line with health, safety, and environmental regulations \n
- Carry out vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift \n
- Accurately complete all job documentation \n
- Report defects, incidents, and near misses promptly \n
- Maintain driver logbooks in line with compliance requirements \n
- Ensure PPE is maintained and fit for use \n
- Keep vehicles and equipment clean, organised, and operational \n
- Attend training and support other teams when required \n
Requirements
\n- \n
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence \n
- CPC qualification \n
- Ability to work independently and follow remote instructions \n
- Professional and courteous when dealing with customers and the public \n
- \n
- Experience in drainage, liquid waste, or environmental services \n
- Street works or high-pressure water jetting experience \n
