\nAre you an experienced Workshop Supervisor or a senior PCV Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a hands-on leader to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy engineering workshop, ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards while developing and motivating a skilled engineering team.\n
£23.50p/h 45 hours per week - 1:30pm - 10:30pm - Mon - Friday - £54,990 Annually \n

The Role\n
\nAs Workshop Supervisor, you'll work closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop, maximising vehicle availability while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality.\n
Your responsibilities will include:\n
\nSupervising the servicing, maintenance and repair of the fleet.\n
\nPlanning and allocating daily workloads across the engineering team.\n
\nManaging vehicle availability to support operational requirements.\n
\nSupporting daily run-in, run-out and breakdown activities.\n
\nCarrying out vehicle preparation and body repairs where required.\n
\nMaintaining workshop equipment, depot facilities and engineering plant.\n
\nAssisting with stock control and warranty administration.\n
\nEnsuring engineering records and compliance documentation are completed accurately.\n
\nDelivering effective shift handovers and maintaining excellent communication across teams.\n
\nCoaching, mentoring and developing engineers and apprentices.\n
\nConducting investigations and supporting performance management where required.\n
\nWorking closely with operational colleagues to improve service delivery and minimise downtime.\n
\nPromoting a strong Health & Safety culture and ensuring compliance with all legislation and company procedures.\n
Essential\n
\nLevel 3 HGV Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).\n
PCV Licence.\n
\nPrevious experience in a supervisory or team leadership role within a commercial vehicle workshop.\n
\nStrong engineering knowledge with excellent diagnostic understanding.\n
\nConfident leadership and people management skills.\n
\nExcellent communication and organisational abilities.\n
\n*Good understanding of Health & Safety, environmental and employment legislation.\n
\nCompetent IT skills.\n
\nA professional, proactive approach with the confidence to make decisions.\n
Working Hours\n
\n45 hours per week\n
\nMonday to Friday\n
\nFlexibility to support weekends, bank holidays and occasional out-of-hours cover when operationally required.\n
