Location:New Forest area of Hampshire
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience. £35,000-£50,000
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home supporting young people in a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
\nYou will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, compliance, and team performance.
\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in creating a positive, child-centred culture where young people can thrive, develop independence, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:\n- \n
- Provide strong leadership and day-to-day operational management of the home. \n
- Recruit, supervise, develop, and motivate a high-performing staff team. \n
- Lead by example and promote best practice across all areas of service delivery. \n
- Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding requirements. \n
- Maintain high standards of care and support that contribute to positive Ofsted outcomes. \n
- Manage all regulatory requirements, notifications, policies, and procedures. \n
- Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans. \n
- Work collaboratively with social workers, healthcare professionals, education providers, and families. \n
- Ensure children receive the support, stability, and opportunities needed to achieve positive outcomes. \n
- Promote the physical, emotional, educational, and social wellbeing of all young people. \n
- Manage budgets and resources effectively. \n
- Ensure the home remains safe, welcoming, and appropriately maintained. \n
- Monitor staffing levels, rotas, and operational performance. \n
Essential Requirements:\n
- \n
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards). \n
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a children's residential setting in the last 5 years. \n
- At least 1 year's experience in a supervisory or management position within a children's residential home. \n
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures, child protection legislation, and Ofsted regulations. \n
- Eligible to register with Ofsted as a Registered Manager. \n
- \n
- Experience leading a home to a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating. \n
- Therapeutic care experience or training. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
