HGV CLASS 2 DRIVER – BLANTYRE – NEW PASSES WELCOME

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Blantyre.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent work, and long-term development, making it ideal for both experienced drivers and newly qualified candidates.

This role would suit applicants who have experience working as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.

Shifts:

• Day shifts – early starts

Annual Salary:

• £30,000 per annum

Day-to-Day Duties:

As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

• Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently
\n • Delivering products to business customers, sometimes with assistance from a Driver's Mate
\n • Loading and unloading vehicles safely and carefully
\n • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle checks
\n • Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations
\n • Following assigned delivery routes and schedules
\n • Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
\n • Some handball required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C Licence
\n • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
\n • No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
\n • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
\n • Good communication and customer service skills
\n • Sound understanding of traffic laws and road safety regulations
\n • Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person delivery team

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial or multi-drop driving experience
\n • Experience delivering large or bulky items
\n • Previous customer-facing delivery experience

Training:

• Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
