The Role
\n The LV Switch Panel Wireman will be responsible for the mechanical and
\n electrical assembly, wiring and testing of low-voltage distribution boards and
\n MCCB panel boards. The role is central to ensuring products are completed
\n accurately, safely and to the required technical standards.
\n * Build and test distribution boards and MCCB panels in line with technical
\n drawings, specifications and BS EN 61439 requirements
\n * Read and interpret electrical CAD drawings, wiring diagrams and layout
\n information
\n * Check component quantities and quality before starting each build
\n * Assemble wiring loom kits using a range of cable crimp hand tools
\n * Carry out electrical testing, including continuity, insulation resistance and
\n functional checks
\n * Identify and rectify wiring or assembly faults through effective
\n fault-finding
\n * Maintain accurate manufacturing records, including test certification,
\n diagrams, drawings and production sheets
\n * Work safely and support compliance with health and safety requirements
\n * Work independently with limited supervision while collaborating with
\n colleagues and other departments
About You
\n * Previous strong experience in a low-voltage panel building environment
\n * Good understanding of electrical systems, components and panel construction
\n * Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
\n * Ability to read and work from technical electrical drawings and wiring
\n diagrams
\n * Experience using hand tools, power tools and electrical test equipment
\n * Knowledge of electrical regulations, including 18th Edition

Salary & Working Hours
\n * 39 hours per week, full-time
\n * Monday to Thursday: 07:25 to 16:30 (with lunch from 12:15 to 13:00)
\n * Friday: 07:30 to 13:10 (no lunch break)
\n * Location: Braintree, Essex (workshop based role)
\n * Salary: £27,000 p/a
