Senior Associate/ Legal Director- Employment Law
Job Description
Leading Scottish law firm is seeking an ambitious Senior Associates/ Legal Directors to join its highly regarded Employment team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside recognised employment law specialists, advising a diverse client base that includes major UK and international employers, public sector organisations, financial institutions, and high-growth businesses. This role can be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh and hybrid-working is on offer.

\nThe team is recognised as one of Scotland's leading employment practices and is regularly instructed on complex and high-profile employment matters, providing both strategic advisory and contentious support to clients across a broad range of sectors. You will advise clients on a wide variety of employment law matters including:

- Day-to-day employment law and HR advisory work. \n
- Employment Tribunal litigation and dispute resolution. \n
- Disciplinary, grievance and performance management matters. \n
- Redundancy and restructuring projects. \n
- TUPE and outsourcing arrangements. \n
- Executive appointments, exits and settlement agreements. \n
- Discrimination, whistleblowing and employee relations issues. \n
- Employment aspects of corporate transactions and business reorganisations. \n
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and handbooks. \n
- You will also have the opportunity to lead complex matters, supervise junior team members, manage client relationships and play an active role in business development initiatives. \n
Candidate Requirements:
\n- \n
- 6+ years' PQE gained within a recognised employment law team. \n
- Strong technical knowledge of UK employment law. \n
- Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. \n
- Excellent drafting, advocacy and communication skills. \n
- Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem solving. \n
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and build lasting client relationships. \n
