Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Employment Lawyer to join the legal team of a leading international financial services business. This is a truly exciting role where you will be working on cutting edge, high profile employment matters within a dynamic business.

Working closely with HR and senior stakeholders across the organisation, you will advise on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters across multiple jurisdictions. This is a varied hands on role offering exposure to strategic business initiatives, employee relations issues and regulatory considerations within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on employment contracts, policies and procedures across the group.
  • \n
  • Supporting employee transfers arising from corporate transactions and organisational change projects.
  • \n
  • Providing guidance on post-termination restrictions and employee mobility matters.
  • \n
  • Advising on disciplinary, grievance, whistleblowing, discrimination and unfair dismissal issues.
  • \n
  • Managing external counsel and coordinating employment law advice across different jurisdictions.
  • \n
  • Supporting remuneration and incentive arrangements alongside HR and Reward teams.
  • \n
  • Assisting with internal investigations involving misconduct and whistleblowing allegations.
  • \n
  • Partnering with business leaders and key stakeholders to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice.

Applicants should be qualified solicitors with at least 6 years’ PQE and strong employment law experience, gained either in-house or in a leading law firm. Some exposure to the financial services sector will benefit your application. You will possess excellent communication skills, strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage a varied workload while building effective relationships across the business.
