Service Engineer
Job Description
MERITUS are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join an expanding Systems Integration Consultancy, supporting the maintenance, commissioning and reliability of critical electrical and control systems at a Nuclear Power Station in Heysham.
\nSERVICE ENGINEER - £NEG (ENQUIRE FOR DETAILS) - NUCLEAR POWER STATION - HEYSHAM - SC CLEARANCE ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED
\nWe're looking for a Service Engineer with a strong electrical engineering background to carry out planned maintenance, fault finding, technical support and small project work within a highly regulated nuclear environment. Full training will be provided on site-specific systems and equipment.
\n\nResponsibilities\n
\n
- \n
- Install, test and commission small electrical and control system projects. \n
- Carry out planned maintenance, site surveys, technical audits and system health checks. \n
- Complete system upgrades, patching, backup and restore activities. \n
- Diagnose and resolve faults on electrical and control systems. \n
- Provide remote and on-site technical support. \n
- Complete service reports and technical documentation. \n
- Participate in an out-of-hours support rota. \n
\nSkills & Experience\n
\n
Essential:
\n- \n
- Strong electrical engineering background. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills. \n
- Strong communication and organisational skills. \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- Experience with PLCs, RTUs or industrial control systems. \n
- Experience within nuclear, power generation, utilities or other regulated industries. \n
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC). \n
