HGV Technician

Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM 5:30 PM

\n
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across a range of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
\n
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
\n
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer standards.
\n
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and support compliance requirements.
\n
• Conduct fault-finding using diagnostic equipment.
\n
• Carry out repair and maintenance work on hydraulic systems where required.
\n
• Ensure vehicles are prepared to a high standard for customer delivery and export.
\n
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
\n
• Support efficient turnaround of workshop activity and vehicle availability.
\n
• Work safely and maintain high workshop standards at all times.
\n
• Assist with sourcing repair solutions for specialist vehicle requirements where required.
\n

\n
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician or Heavy Vehicle Fitter.
\n
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent preferred).
\n
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience.
\n
• Experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles.
\n
• Good understanding of vehicle compliance and MOT preparation.
\n
• Ability to work independently and within a workshop team.
\n
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
\n
• Class 1 and/or Class 2 HGV Licence (preferred).
\n
• MOT experience (preferred).
\n
• Hydraulics experience (preferred).
\n
