\nOur client, a small to medium sized manufacturing business, have an immediate requirement to recruit a well versed Maintenance Electrician to join their team.
\nOverview
\nThe role involves providing hands-on support in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant equipment, must have strong focus on electrical systems while supporting mechanical tasks as required.
\n The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring maximum uptime of critical electroplating lines, ancillary equipment, and supporting utilities, while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities

- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a wide range of electrical and electro-mechanical equipment including plating lines, rectifiers, pumps, motors, compressed air and control panels. \n
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, control wiring, drives, sensors, and instrumentation. \n
- Support mechanical repairs such as pumps, pipework, and hydraulics as required. \n
- Ensure equipment is maintained to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability, minimizing downtime. \n
- Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively. \n
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and modifications to improve reliability, safety, and efficiency.Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in line with company procedures. \n
- Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements, particularly regarding chemical handling and plating operations. \n
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers when required. \n
Essential Skills & Experience
\n- \n
- Time-served Electrical Engineer with 18th edition \n
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing/industrial environment \n
- Strong knowledge of electrical fault finding and repair, including motors, drives, control circuits, and PLCs. \n
- Good understanding of mechanical systems \n
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and engineering drawings. \n
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills. \n
- Awareness of health, safety, and environmental compliance within a manufacturing \n
Desirable Skills
\n- \n
- Able to showcase experience of working in an Industrial environment \n
- PLC programming/modification experience. \n
- Experience with lean manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement initiatives. \n

In this role, you will be expected to work 07:45 - 16:15 Monday to Thursday and 7am - 1pm on a Friday. In return you can expect a basic package of £48k - £50k dependant on previous experience.
