\nJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
\nSalary: £35,000-£50,000 Depending on experience (40hr Week).
\nLocation: Chippenham SN14.
\nAbout The Role:
\nThe company are seeking a skilled and dedicated Level 2-3 Mechanic/MOT Tester to join their automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting vehicle repairs, maintenance, and thorough MOT testing to ensure vehicles meet safety and environmental standards. \nKey Responsibilities:
\nPerform routine vehicle maintenance and repairs, including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, suspension work, and tyre fitting.
\nConduct comprehensive MOT tests in accordance with legal requirements and industry standards.
\nUse hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components.
\nIdentify mechanical issues accurately through inspection and diagnostic procedures.
\nMaintain detailed records of all work carried out on each vehicle.
\nEnsure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
\nAssist with ordering parts and managing workshop stock levels as needed.
\nSupport colleagues in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
\nCandidate Requirements:
\nProven experience as a mechanic or MOT tester with relevant qualifications.
\nStrong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle systems and components.
\nProficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
\nAbility to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
\nExcellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
\nAbility to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
\nValid driving licence is preferred; however, not essential for all roles depending on the specific workshop requirements.
