\nNorfolk\n
\nA well-established and highly respected FMCG manufacturer in Norfolk is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their night shift engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, high-speed production facility that continues to invest heavily in equipment, automation, and its people.\n
\nThe Role\n
\nAs a Night Shift Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of a fast-paced manufacturing site during night operations. Working 12-hour shifts, you will play a key role in reducing downtime, improving efficiency, and ensuring production targets are consistently achieved.\n
\nKey responsibilities include:\n
\nCarrying out both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)\n
\nDiagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on production equipment\n
\nSupporting production teams to resolve breakdowns quickly and effectively\n
\nWorking on a variety of automated FMCG processing and packaging machinery\n
\nDriving continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives\n
\nCompleting accurate maintenance records and ensuring compliance with site standards\n
\nMaintaining strict health, safety, food safety, and GMP standards at all times\n
\nAbout You\n
\nYou will be a confident, hands-on engineer with strong multi-skilled capability and experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. You should be comfortable working independently on nights and taking ownership of technical issues as they arise.\n
\nYou will ideally have:\n
\nEngineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification\n
\nStrong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills\n
\nExperience within FMCG, food, or high-volume manufacturing environments\n
\nPLC fault-finding experience (advantageous)\n
\nA proactive, calm approach under pressure\n
\nGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a shift team\n
