Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Electrician to join us on our responsive repairs team at the Amplius Housing branch. This is covering a patch of social housing properties which are based in Peterborough and stretch across to Leicestershire so travel across the A47 Corridor is essential
\nThe Office is based in Rushden and you will be expected to attend this site for training and monthly meetings The core working hours are Monday to Friday Start at 8am-4:30pm. + Generous paying ON CALL rota 1 in every 6-8 weeks ( This covers a wider patch across Northamptonshire for the week you are on call)
\nYou will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of maintenance and repairs on all electrical engineering services as required, ensuring all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of Supervision. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
The Customer\nFortems successful contract with social housing provider Amplius Housing supports nearly 15,000 properties, This includes Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Complex Works and FRA workstreams with additional Planned Works and Preventative Maintenance as well.
Duties and Responsibilities\nThe Qualified Electrician's duties and responsibilities will include the following:
\nInstalling, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations
\nInstallation, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report
\nCarry out EICRs and remedial upgrades to properties.
\nCompleting reactive maintenance work as per the specification.
\nAdvising Supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required.
\nWorking in partnership with other operatives to complete projects.
\nCompleting daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken. Working in a timely and productive manner to complete projects.
\nProvide excellent customer service to both tenants and clients.
What you will need\nEssential criteria:
\nC&G 2360 Part 1&2 Electrotechnical Competences plus the NVQ 3 Certificate 2356 with Technical Certs L2&3 plus the NVQ 3 Certificate or NVQ 3 2356 certificate
\nC&G 18th Edition Certificate
\nFull UK driving license
\nDesirable but not essential:
\nUnvented Hot Water Certificate Water Regulations Certificate Part P
\nJIPB H&S Test Certificate with Current JIBP card
\nTesting & Inspecting Certificate C&G 2377 PAT Certificate
