Our Nottingham based client is a well-established and growing precision engineering company who manufacture high-quality precision components for a wide range of industries and pride themselves on quality, reliability and investment in their people and equipment.Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner to join their skilled manufacturing team.\n

Hours of work

\n

7:30am - 4:30pm Mon-Thurs

\n

7:30am - 11:30am Fri

\n

Salary: £30,000 per annum

The RoleAs a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC turning machines to manufacture precision-engineered components to exact specifications. Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will ensure all work meets the highest quality standards while maintaining efficiency and productivity.\n
Key ResponsibilitiesSet, operate and programme CNC turning machines.Manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.Select the correct tooling and machine settings for each job.Conduct first-off, in-process and final inspections using measuring equipment.Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.Maintain high levels of quality and attention to detail.Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.Carry out routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organised.Work safely and comply with all Health & Safety procedures.\n
The successful candidate will have:Previous experience as a CNC Turner within a precision engineering environment.Experience programming CNC turning machines.Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Excellent understanding of machining tolerances.Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers and gauges.Strong problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Commitment to producing high-quality work.\n
