Location: Manchester, 5 days onsite
Duration: 6 months contract
Rate: £480 - £520

Role Description:
\n We are seeking a skilled SharePoint SME / 3rd Line Technical Specialist to support and evolve our SharePoint estate across on-premises and Microsoft 365 platforms. This is a hands-on role requiring strong expertise in SharePoint upgrades, administration, and development.
Key Responsibilities

\n
• Platform Operations & Support
\n
• Manage SharePoint farm servers, web applications, service applications, content databases, and supporting infrastructure.
\n
• Administer Search Service Applications, Managed Metadata, User Profile Services, Distributed Cache, and related components.
\n
• Act as 3rd line escalation for complex SharePoint issues
\n
• Lead SharePoint 2019 to Subscription Edition (SE) upgrades
\n
• Manage and support SharePoint Online (M365)
\n
• Ensure platform performance, security, and reliability
\n

Essential Skills

\n
• SharePoint Server 2019 & Subscription Edition (SE)
\n
• SharePoint Online (M365)
\n
• Deep knowledge of SharePoint farm architecture and operational support.
\n
• Understanding of search-driven user interfaces and applications.
\n
• Extensive experience supporting SharePoint Search architecture.
\n
• Crawl configuration, indexing, query processing, and search optimization.
\n

Desirable Skills

\n
• Microsoft 365 stack: OneDrive, Teams, Exchange Online
\n
• Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
\n
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot / AI capabilities
\n

Certifications (Preferred)

\n
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102)
\n
• Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)
\n
• Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400)
\n
• Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900)
