Class 2 Driver
\n Location: Chepstow, NP16 6UP
Shift times: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 16:30
Pay Rate: £15.65 per hour
\n We are currently recruiting Class 2 Day Drivers for immediate starts at our client's busy site in Chepstow. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with a global leader in transport and logistics, offering long-term career prospects for the right candidates.
\n As a Class 2 Driver, you'll be delivering a range of goods including white goods, kitchen units and worktops. You'll typically complete 12-15 drops per day, working alongside a driver's mate for home deliveries where required.
Responsibilities

    \n
  • Safely operating a Class 2 vehicle in line with company and legal requirements.
    • \n
  • Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with VOSA regulations.
    • \n
  • Carrying out both home and kerbside deliveries.
    • \n
  • Delivering white goods, kitchen units and worktops.
    • \n
  • Completing approximately 12-15 drops per day.
    • \n
  • Using handheld scanners and completing delivery paperwork.
    • \n
  • Providing excellent customer service at every delivery.
    • \n
  • Working safely as part of a two-person delivery team where applicable.
    • \n

Requirements

\n
    \n
  • Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
    • \n
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
    • \n
  • Minimum 6 months' Class 2 driving experience.
    • \n
  • Multidrop delivery experience.
    • \n
  • No more than 6 penalty points with no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
    • \n
  • Good knowledge of the UK road network.
    • \n
  • Physically fit due to the manual nature of the role.
    • \n
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
    • \n
