\nIf you're a hands-on tradesperson who can turn their hand to a range of jobs and takes pride in doing things properly, we'd like to hear from you.
\nAs a Multi Trader - Carpenter at Hyde, you'll be working in our homes carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance. You'll be trusted to get jobs done right first time and to treat our customers with respect in their homes.
\nWhat you'll be doing
\n- \n
- Carrying out multi-trade repairs including carpentry, plumbing, plastering and general maintenance \n
- Fixing day-to-day issues such as doors, kitchens, bathrooms, leaks, walls and flooring \n
- Completing patch plastering, minor tiling, painting and similar finishing works \n
- Working on your own jobs but also alongside other trades when needed \n
- Following work orders and reporting back on progress and materials used \n
- Working safely at all times and following Hyde's health and safety procedures \n
- Providing a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes \n
- UPVC Repairs & Maintenance: Repairing and maintaining windows and doors, including replacing hinges, handles, and locking mechanisms. \n
- Installing new Fire doors, including cutting and adjusting frames. \n
What we're looking for
\n- \n
- Solid experience across multiple trades, especially carpentry, plumbing and plastering \n
- Confident using hand and power tools \n
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload \n
- A practical problem-solver who can spot issues and fix them properly \n
- Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude \n
- Physically fit and happy with hands-on work \n
- Experience working in social housing is a bonus \n
- A full, valid UK driving licence \n
- Must have UPVC skills \n
Skills and Experience

- Proven experience in multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and general maintenance. \n
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools. \n
- Knowledge of trade-specific techniques, materials, and safety protocols. \n
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. \n
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills. \n
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour. \n
- Experience working in social housing is desirable \n
- Valid driver's licence \n
