\nWhere will I be working?
\nOur services in Stafford provide a 24-hour supported living facility in providing care for adults with Learning Disabilities. We accommodate up to 8 people with mild to complex Learning Disabilities. We tailor our services to enable people to be as independent as possible.
\nShift Patterns
\nThis is a 24-hour service, therefore flexibility is essential. You will be working a range of shifts including nights and some weekends.
Role Responsibility\nWhat will I be doing?
\nThis is a hands-on job in which no two days are the same. Your duties will include:
\n- \n
- Promoting the independence of people we support \n
- Supporting a full range of daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out or going away on holiday \n
- Arranging activities in the home and in the local community \n
- Developing residents' life skills and personal interests \n
- Helping residents stay safe and healthy \n
- Assisting with personal care needs \n
- Manual handling \n
- Supporting people with medication \n
- Ensuring record keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements \n
What skills and qualities do I need to have?
\nWhilst knowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs would be beneficial, it isn't essential. What is essential is that you are:

- Passionate, caring and enthusiastic \n
- Flexible, patient and non-judgemental \n
- A great team player with lots of energy \n
- Able to demonstrate good communication skills \n
- Able to complete the physical aspects of the role such as manual handling where needed \n
