Waste Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Waste Supervisor to join a busy operational team based in Yeovil.
\n This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with experience supervising waste, recycling, environmental services, logistics or operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the day-to-day delivery of waste management and recycling operations.
\n Lead and support operational staff, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
\n Monitor service performance and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
\n Conduct team briefings, toolbox talks and support staff development.
\n Liaise with site management, contractors and operational teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
\n Maintain accurate records, reports and operational documentation.
\n Investigate and resolve operational issues as they arise.
\n Promote a positive safety culture and ensure company procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

Previous supervisory experience within waste management, environmental services, logistics, facilities management or a similar operational environment.
\n Strong leadership and people management skills.
\n Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
\n Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
\n Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
\n Competent IT and reporting skills.

Contract Details
\n £15.50 per hour
\n 40 hours per week
\n Monday to Friday
\n Temporary contract until September 2026
\n Immediate start available
