\nThe RoleWe are recruiting for a Field Service & Calibration Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation based in Milton Keynes.\n
\nThis is a varied role combining workshop-based calibration and repair work with regular travel to customer sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, calibrating and fault-finding on specialist force measurement and testing equipment.\n
\nWork will be scheduled in advance by the Service Manager, with a mixture of office-based and field-based activities throughout the week.\n
Key Responsibilities\n
? Experience servicing, calibrating or maintaining engineering equipment\n
\n? Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems\n
\n? Strong mechanical fault-finding skills\n
\n? Computer literate with experience recording and processing data\n
\n? Ability to read and understand technical drawings\n
\n? Full UK Driving Licence\n
\n? Valid Passport and willingness to travel\n
\n? Able to work independently with minimal supervision\n
\n? Physically fit and comfortable handling calibration equipment\n
\n? Professional and confident communicator able to engage with customers at all levels\n
\n? Basic electronics knowledge including: PCB replacement, Use of a multimeter,Fault diagnosis\n
\n? Understanding of: Load Cells, LVDTs, Electronic transducers,Measurement and testing equipment\n
Desirable\n
\n? Calibration experience\n
\n? Experience working within testing, measurement, instrumentation or laboratory equipment industries\n
\n? Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements\n
\n? Previous field service engineering experience\n

- Carrying out planned service visits at customer sites \n
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electronic faults \n
- Repairing and replacing components including PCBs where required \n
- Using calibration equipment and recording test results \n
- Producing calibration certificates and service reports \n
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentation \n
- Ensuring compliance with relevant testing standards and quality requirements \n
- Delivering excellent customer service on-site and remotely \n
- Working independently and managing workload effectively \n
