HGV Class 1 Driver – Ellington

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Ellington.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work with a leading transport operation, competitive rates of pay, and a variety of shift patterns across a 7-day operation.

This role will suit candidates who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shift Pattern:

\n
• Various rota patterns available
\n
• 12:00 – 16:00 or 20:00 – 00:00 start times available
\n
• 11–13 hour shifts
\n
• 7-day operation
\n

Pay Rates:

Monday – Friday:

\n
• £17.50 per hour (05:00 – 20:00)
\n
• £19.00 per hour (20:00 – 05:00)
\n

Weekends:

\n
• £21.00 per hour
\n

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver will be:

• Carrying out double-deck trunking work
\n
• Transporting goods safely between distribution centres
\n
• Completing vehicle checks and transport documentation
\n
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and tachograph regulations
\n
• Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism
\n

Essential Skills:

The skills required to be an HGV Class 1 Driver are:

\n
• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
\n
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Good understanding of driver regulations and tachograph rules
\n
• Reliable and flexible approach to work
\n
• Strong communication skills
\n

Desirable Experience:

\n
• Previous trunking or double-deck trailer experience
\n

Training:

\n
• Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
\n
