\nSalary: £40,000 £50,000 Basic Salary (OTE £80,000) + Commission & Benefits

\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Business Development Manager to join CIA Fire & Security, part of The Ranger Group. We are looking for a proactive sales professional with a proven track record in the fire and security industry who can identify, develop and secure profitable new business opportunities across Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.
\nThis is a key commercial position focused on generating sustainable growth, building long-term client relationships and driving recurring revenue through maintenance, monitoring and service agreements. The successful candidate will be commercially astute, technically competent and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

\nThe Role
\nAs Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while promoting the company's full range of fire and security solutions, including:
\nFire Alarms
\nCCTV Systems
\nAccess Control
\nIntruder Alarms
\nMonitoring Services
\nPlanned Maintenance Contracts
\nAssociated Fire & Security Works
\nYou will manage the complete sales process from initial prospecting through to proposal, negotiation, contract award and handover, ensuring solutions are commercially viable and operationally deliverable.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nIdentify and secure new business opportunities within the fire and security sector.
\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with end users, contractors, consultants, facilities management providers and key decision-makers.
\nGenerate a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities.
\nManage the full sales cycle from lead generation to project handover.
\nPrepare professional proposals, quotations and tender submissions.
\nAchieve agreed sales, gross margin and recurring revenue targets.
\nPromote maintenance, monitoring and service agreements alongside installation projects.
\nCollaborate closely with estimating, projects, service and operations teams.
\nAttend client meetings, site surveys, networking events and presentations.
\nMaintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts.
\nStay up to date with industry standards, legislation and compliance requirements.
\nRepresent CIA Fire & Security and The Ranger Group professionally at all times.
\nAbout You
\nThe successful candidate will have:
\nProven success in business development or technical sales within the fire and security industry.
\nStrong knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, monitoring and maintenance services.
\nA track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
\nExperience selling to commercial clients, facilities management companies, contractors, consultants or public sector organisations.
\nStrong commercial awareness with a focus on profitability and long-term value.
\nExcellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
\nThe ability to build trust and develop long-lasting customer relationships.
\nA self-motivated and proactive approach to generating opportunities.
\nStrong pipeline management and organisational skills.
\nConfidence dealing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
\nDesirable Experience
\nExperience working for an NSI, SSAIB or BAFE accredited organisation.
\nExisting industry contacts within sectors such as:

Experience securing maintenance and monitoring contracts.
\nTender and framework submission experience.
