\nThe Role
\nAs a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts that have fallen into arrears. Working within a busy and supportive team, you will handle both inbound and outbound calls, negotiate payment arrangements and help customers find suitable solutions while ensuring a high standard of customer service.
\nThis is a customer-focused role where communication, empathy and negotiation skills are key to achieving successful outcomes for both customers and the business.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n• Manage inbound and outbound calls relating to overdue accounts
\n• Negotiate payment arrangements and repayment plans
\n• Support customers experiencing payment difficulties
\n• Resolve account queries and maintain accurate records
\n• Update internal systems and customer information
\n• Ensure all activities are completed in line with regulatory requirements and company procedures
\n• Deliver excellent customer service on every interaction
\nAbout You
\n• Minimum 2 years' experience within Collections, Credit Control, Debt Recovery or Customer Service
\n• Previous experience within a call centre or contact centre environment
\n• Strong communication and negotiation skills
\n• Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging conversations
\n• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
\n• Competent user of Microsoft Excel and Word
\n• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
\n• Experience within financial services would be advantageous
