Internal Sales Executive

My client, a leading supplier within the roofing and construction industry, is looking for a motivated Internal Sales Assistant to join their successful branch team in Colchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong customer service and sales experience who enjoys building relationships, working in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a supportive team. You'll play a key role in driving sales, supporting customers, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.

• Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships to generate profitable sales.
\n
• Proactively identify and follow up on sales opportunities and quotations.
\n
• Process customer orders accurately using internal systems.
\n
• Liaise closely with the warehouse team to ensure products are delivered on time.
\n
• Work collaboratively with external sales representatives and credit control.
\n
• Maintain accurate sales records and update customer activity.
\n
• Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the sales process.
\n

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in an internal sales, sales support, or customer-facing sales role.
\n
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
\n
• A proactive approach with the ability to identify sales opportunities.
\n
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
\n
• Good IT skills and confidence using internal systems.
\n
• Experience within the roofing, construction, or builders' merchant industry would be advantageous.
