Internal Sales Assistant 📍 Location: Colchester 💰 Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits 🕒 Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent About the Role My client, a leading supplier within the roofing and construction industry, is looking for a motivated Internal Sales Assistant to join their successful branch team in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong customer service and sales experience who enjoys building relationships, working in a fast-paced environment, and being part of a supportive team. You'll play a key role in driving sales, supporting customers, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the branch. Key Responsibilities * Develop and maintain new and existing customer relationships to generate profitable sales. * Proactively identify and follow up on sales opportunities and quotations. * Process customer orders accurately using internal systems. * Liaise closely with the warehouse team to ensure products are delivered on time. * Work collaboratively with external sales representatives and credit control. * Maintain accurate sales records and update customer activity. * Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the sales process. About You We're looking for someone who has: * Previous experience in an internal sales, sales support, or customer-facing sales role. * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. * A proactive approach with the ability to identify sales opportunities. * Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude. * Good IT skills and confidence using internal systems. * Experience within the roofing, construction, or builders' merchant industry would be advantageous.
