\nThe individual will need to demonstrate skills and experience as described in the job description, with the ability to hold CVE authorization as designated by the HDO.
\nDemonstration of thorough knowledge of a DOA environment, and is conversant with FAA, EASA and UK CAA regulations associated with initial airworthiness.
Education and Experience Requirements\nBachelor's Degree in relevant field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Aviation experience required.
Position Purpose\nOversight and coordination on all engineering projects within the DOA containing compliance demonstration, CAA and/or EASA mandates, critical design problems, which requires extensive knowledge on development of design to certification compliance requirements.
Job Description\nPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
\n- \n
- Responsible for an entire engineering project from an engineering design perspective within established scope per Design Organization Handbook (DOH). \n
- To be nominated as a CVE in at least one discipline area. \n
- To support HDO and/or HoA, and deputise when required. \n
- Makes technical decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive engineering activities, whilst supporting compliance verification with the applicable regulations. \n
- Applies advanced technical principles, theories and concepts based on broad expertise or unique specialized knowledge. \n
- Leads the development of innovative principles and ideas. \n
- Acts independently to determine improved methods and/or procedures to optimize efficiency, cost and schedule requirements. \n
- Works under consultative direction; uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives. \n
- Develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities. \n
Additional Functions:

- When required, assumes delegation of departmental/managerial tasks. \n
- Mentoring and/or training on design applications and methodologies. \n
- Perform other duties as assigned. \n
Other Requirements:
\n- \n
- Previous CVE experience or equivalent. \n
- Previous Form 4 holder desirable. \n
- Must have detailed knowledge of CAA Part 21J Regulations and Certification Specifications (CS/JAR 25, 26 EU-OPS, Part-CAT). \n
- Working experiences of other regulatory requirements, in conjunction with understanding of bilateral agreements beneficial. \n
- Fully conversant with design applications (CATIA, AutoCad) and certification / compliance processes. \n
- Exhibits leadership qualities. \n
- Excellent inter-personal and team management skills. \n
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues. \n
- Highly motivated with desires to succeed. \n
- Confident and competent, with attention to details. \n
- Ability to adapt and learn effectively and efficiently. \n
