To assist the Asset Manager (Housing) in delivering high-quality, efficient contract and project management from design to completion, ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.

\n

Requirements\n

• To assist in the development, administration and contract delivery of the Council’s Capital and Revenue Planned Maintenance Programme.

\n

• To act as the departments representative, to protect the customers interests and to ensure achievement of good quality work in liaison with other departments, sections, consultants and contractors.

\n

• To protect the Councils Capital and Revenue budgets by actively controlling expenditure and ensuring that all projects offer the Council value for money.

\n

• To promote positive behaviours in the workplace and promote safe working within Housing & Property Services.

\n

The Individual\n

• Sound building technology knowledge and experience

\n

• House condition survey experience

\n

• Computer literacy, use of a range of databases and spreadsheets

\n

• Demonstrable experience working in a Housing Asset, Repairs and Maintenance role or equivalent

\n

• Technical knowledge of property repairs/ maintenance or improvement works

\n

• Appropriate technical qualifications to ONC/HNC/HND level in Architectural Technology or an equivalent construction-related qualification, trade background, or relevant industry experience.

\n

• Ability to manage complex situations / projects and find appropriate solutions

\n

• Willingness to take on additional tasks

\n

• Full driving licence and use of car for work purposes

\n

• AutoCAD Computer Aided Drafting skills

\n

• Worked in property repairs/maintenance or improvement environment

\n

• Ability to monitor and negotiate with contractors and consultants

\n

• Ability to prioritise own workload

\n

• Ability to work on own initiative

\n

• Good knowledge of relevant legislation

\n

• Good standard of general health and fitness required

\n

• Ability to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolding

\n

Starting Salary: £40,056.25 Per Annum

\n

£21.25 per hour

\n

36.25 hours per week
