\nK.A.G. Recruitment is partnering exclusively with a premier client in Burton to find an exceptional Shift Engineers. As an integral member of the Engineering Team, you will ensure the best performance and dependability of Manufacturing equipment, contributing to both safety and efficiency across all site assets.
\n\nRole: Shift Engineers
\nLocation: Burton
\nSalary: £49.000 (plus shift allowance for Nights)
\nVarious Shifts:
\nDays: 6:00am – 6:00pm, 3 on / 3 off Nights: 6:00pm – 6:00am, 3 on / 3 off
\n\nYour Role:
\nYour mission is to combine hands-on Maintenance expertise, in-depth equipment knowledge, and robust communication skills to ensure the reliability and availability of all site assets. You will be at the forefront of improving plant performance and fostering a culture of professional engineering and proactive improvement.
\n\nWhat You'll Do:
\n\nService and repair equipment, mechanical and electrical, fitting spares and carrying out quality inspections across the facility, planned preventative maintenance.
\nCheck and calibrate instruments to ensure they are accurate.
\nRespond to machine/equipment breakdowns immediately.
\nImplement improvement projects and track in terms of delivery, timeliness and cost.
\nEnsure timely repair of simple breakdowns, assist with root cause identification and solutions put in place to prevent repeated failures.
\nEnsure health, safety, quality and environmental good engineering practice standards are maintained.
\nComply with all factory standards & procedures.
\nAccurately complete all engineering-related paperwork & documentation for all projects and activities.
\n\n\nWho You Are:
\n- \n
- A seasoned Engineer with hands-on experience, ideally within the Food Manufacturing sector, supported by qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical fields (BTEC or similar) \n
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving a variety of equipment issues, with a broad knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, and Electrical. \n
- A staunch advocate for safety, experienced in risk assessment and managing safe working practices, particularly with high-hazard equipment. \n
- An outstanding communicator and leader who can prioritise effectively in fast-paced environments and elevate the technical skills of others. \n
Desirable:
\n- \n
- Refrigeration/ Steam Boiler Experience Knowledge of statutory compliance, especially in high-risk utilities, and adept at using CMMS/ Shire \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Demonstrated technical expertise: Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, NVQ Level 3, HNC, or similar. \n
- Certified in 17th/ 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Basic Food Hygiene. \n
