Job Description
4 year apprenticeship as a Support Service Technician (Digital Technology), undertaking a wide range of duties to support Digital Learning, Technical and Science within Glasgow Schools.
\nStudying towards an HNC in Electronic Engineering at Glasgow Clyde College, Cardonald Campus. SVQ level 2 completed by part time attendance at Glasgow Clyde College, Anniesland Campus and SVQ level 3 completed within the workplace which will include a split between schools and central service work areas.
\nDuties will include provision of technical support for teaching and learning, in particular support for digital technology and related devices in use within schools, safe storage and servicing of general school equipment with due regard to Health & Safety procedures.
\nSome elements of the Science and Digital Technology content of a School Support Service Technicians duties will be covered via Technician Support Service Progression courses and in-house training during the 4 year apprenticeship
\nAdditional in-house training will be provided via the Technician Support Service - Technician Progression Scheme and the Scottish Schools Educational Research Centre Technician CPD Training Scheme courses.
\nCompletion of Technician Passport during the 4 year apprenticeship.
