Job Description
To ensure the effective administrative functioning within the school and to develop and implement administrative policies and procedures within the school.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Assist the Head Teacher and Senior Management Team in introducing, maintaining and reviewing administrative policies and procedures within the school. \n
- Provide appropriate financial information and administrative advice for the Head Teacher and the Senior Management Team within the school. \n
- Ensure the effective management and maintenance of the Seemis Management System within the school. \n
- Manage all general clerical and administrative functions within the school. \n
- Adopt procedures to ensure a safe working environment. \n
- Participate in the Council's Employee Review and Development Programme. \n

- Experience in administrative and clerical work including financial management systems, composing letters/reports, record keeping, filing and dealing with the public \n
- Recognised typing / word processing qualification (eg typing RSA stages 11 or SCOTVEC Text Processing Certificates). \n
- Experience of Microsoft Office including software packages such as Excel, Access). \n
- High level of accuracy in work \n
- Ability to prioritise workload \n
- Ability to use initiative in day to day tasks \n
- Ability to participate as a team member \n
- Self confidence \n
- Self motivated \n
- Strong customer care skills and focus \n
- Effective organisational skills including time management \n

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.

\n Starting Salary: £29,519 (pro rata)
\n £15.66 per hour
\n 15 hours per week - (47.15 week contract, i.e. term time working plus balance of days to be worked during school holiday periods.)
