Hours per week: 37 Monday Friday, 9:00-17:00
This opening assignment is for 6 months
Predominately remote basis but there may be occasions in person office sessions are required

\nSummary of what the candidate must have to apply:
\nStrong knowledge of NEC Housing modules and configuration.
\nExperience creating and amending communications and alerts.
\nExperience using Task Manager and CRM functions.
\nThe ability to investigate and resolve application issues.
\nExperience supporting system changes, upgrades and service improvements.
\nGood stakeholder and supplier management skills.
\nSQL knowledge, ideally with experience writing or amending queries.
\nThe role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Application Support Officer to lead the day-to-day delivery of application support services for Bristol City Council. You'll manage a team of Application Support Officers, ensuring business-critical systems remain available, secure and continually improved.
\nYou'll play a key role in supporting NEC Housing applications, coordinating system upgrades, resolving incidents, implementing changes and working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver an excellent support service.
\nKey accountabilities:
\nLead and supervise a team of up to 10 Application Support Officers.
\nManage the day-to-day delivery of application support services.
\nOversee incidents, service requests and problem resolution.
\nCoordinate system upgrades, maintenance and application releases.
\nConfigure and support NEC Housing applications.
\nDrive service improvements and implement best practice.
\nBuild effective relationships with suppliers and business stakeholders.
\nMonitor application performance and recommend improvements.
\nEnsure high standards of data quality, security and GDPR compliance.
\nProduce and analyse management information to support decision making.
\nEscalate technical issues where appropriate.
\nSupport out-of-hours upgrades and technical activities when required.
\nRequirements/key criteria:
\nEssential:
\nExtensive experience supporting NEC Housing applications.
\nExperience delivering application support within a large organisation.
\nStrong knowledge of NEC Housing modules and system configuration.
\nExperience implementing application changes and continuous improvement.
\nAbility to create and amend communications, alerts, Task Manager workflows and CRM functions.
\nExperience managing incidents, requests and system upgrades.
\nStrong stakeholder and supplier management skills.
\nExperience leading or supervising technical support teams.
\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
\nStrong customer service and communication skills.
\nDesirable:
\nSQL knowledge with the ability to write or amend queries.
\nExperience working within local government.
\nKnowledge of ITIL principles and service management.
\nExperience supporting business-critical enterprise applications.
