\nAbout the role
\nAs an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (known internally as a Maintenance Electrician) at our Waresley site, you will be part of our hands on inhouse team who keep the plant running by ensuring the equipment runs smoothly.
\nFrom troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM), you will be hands-on with specialist machinery, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. It's a dynamic role where problem-solving skills and technical expertise are used daily, and you will be a key player contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our production processes.
\nOur engineers have a varied role, so youll get the chance to use a variety of electrical skills associated with being an electrician and service engineer.
\nWe will provide you with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to enable you to safely and effectively work as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer where you will
\nInstall and maintaining all electrical & electro-mechanical plant equipment or machinery
\nOperating a preventative electrical maintenance system
\nFaulting finding and repairs
\nProgram Siemens & other programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
\nUse various types of testing equipment to locate and remedy faults
\nPromote Lean thinking
\nAttend breakdowns
\nContribute to safe systems of work (SSOW) documentation
\nAdhere to Wienerbergers quality system & standards in accordance with BSEN ISO 9001
\nThissiteproduces bricks, supporting our manufacturing of high-quality building materials across the UK.
\nThis position is based at our Waresleysite, which is near to Hartlebury andRushock, easily commutable from Stourport-on-Severn, Kidderminster, Bewdley, Droitwich Spa and Bromsgrove.
\nHours of Work:
\n4 on, 4 off shift pattern rotating between days (6.00am to 6.00pm) and nights (6.00pm to 6.00am)
\nAbout You
\nYou will be an electrically biased engineer with experience of working in a manufacturing / factory environment, with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
\nSafety is our biggest priority, so youll be committed to safe working and have strong experience of health and safety best practice.
\nYoull enjoy working in a busy environment where you can roll your sleeves up and get hands-on, and being flexible and able to adapt to the different daily priorities will enable the factory to continue to run efficiently.
\nAs this role is sometimes physically demanding, youll be fit enough to perform your various duties.
\nYoull also have
\nStrong team playing skills
\nGood communication (written and verbal)
\nGood working knowledge of environment, health, and safety (EHS) processes
\nAnalytical & problem-solving skills
\nDiagnostics experience of electrical motors and pneumatics
\nExperience and knowledge of PLCs (programmable logic controllers)
\nDesirable
\n17th / 18th edition qualified (although training could be provided)
\nCompleted a hands-on apprentice training programme
\nHNC or HND qualification (or equivalent)
\nExperience in heavy industry manufacturing
