HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver – Wolverhampton

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, HIAB Driver, Lorry Mounted Crane Driver, or LGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, temp-to-perm opportunities, and genuine room to grow and progress.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
\n  • Start times between 05:00 and 06:00

Rates of Pay

 • Basic rate: £16.00 per hour
\n  • Overtime after 39 hours: £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, your duties will include:

 • Safely operating a Class 2 vehicle with a HIAB crane for loading and unloading goods
\n  • Delivering goods to various locations, ensuring safe handling and timely deliveries
\n  • Carrying out pre and post vehicle and equipment checks
\n  • Maintaining accurate delivery records and ensuring compliance with all regulations
\n  • Providing excellent customer service during deliveries
\n  • Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and well maintained
\n  • Liaising with the dealership regarding servicing and maintenance requirements
\n  • Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and transport regulations

Essential Skills

As a HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
\n  • Valid HIAB/Lorry Mounted Crane qualification
\n  • Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
\n  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
\n  • Good level of spoken and written English
\n  • Excellent timekeeping and punctuality
\n  • Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
\n  • Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles would be advantageous
\n  • Previous experience operating a HIAB/Lorry Mounted Crane
\n  • Multi-drop delivery experience would be beneficial

Training Provided

 • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
