Class 2 Driver / Yard Operative

Are you a reliable Class 2 Driver looking for a varied role with a great work-life balance? We're recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established waste management company for a Class 2 Driver / Yard Operative to join their team in Paddock Wood.

This hybrid position offers the perfect mix of driving (40%) and yard-based duties (60%), providing a varied and active working day. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

• Pay: £19.50 per hour

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
\n
• Contract: Temporary to Permanent
\n
• Location: Paddock Wood
\n

\n
• Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle for collections and site movements.
\n
• Load and unload waste materials.
\n
• Break down and process waste items within the yard.
\n
• Assist with general waste management operations.
\n
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
\n
• Work closely with the transport and yard teams to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
\n

\n
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
\n
• Minimum 6 months' Class 2 driving experience.
\n
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
\n
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
\n
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
\n
• Reliable, punctual, and happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
\n
• A good understanding of health and safety procedures.
\n

• £19.50 per hour
\n
• Monday to Friday working – no weekends
\n
