Salary: £40,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off 12 Hour Day Shifts
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Permanent
Our client is a well-established family-owned dairy business with over 100 years of farming heritage. For the past 25 years, they have successfully produced and supplied their own milk and dairy products directly to customers, building an excellent reputation for quality, service, and sustainability.
\nBased in Bradley, Staffordshire, the dairy operates at the heart of one of the UK's key milk-producing regions, serving customers across the Midlands, North West, and surrounding areas while maintaining a strong commitment to reducing environmental impact.
\nDue to continued growth and investment, they are now looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.
About the Role\nAs a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of production and processing equipment across the dairy facility.
\nYou will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximise production efficiency and minimise downtime.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production and packaging equipment. \n
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults. \n
- Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime. \n
- Supporting continuous improvement projects across the site. \n
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation. \n
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations. \n
- Assisting with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities. \n
- Working closely with production teams to ensure operational efficiency. \n
- \n
- Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, food production, dairy, FMCG, or industrial environment. \n
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. \n
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance. \n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation. \n
- Good problem-solving and communication skills. \n
- Flexible and proactive approach to work. \n

- Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, HND, or equivalent). \n
- Experience within food manufacturing or dairy production. \n
- Knowledge of PLC systems and automated production equipment. \n
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. \n
Competitive salary of £40,000 per annum
