CNC Turner (Setter / Operator) West Bromwich B70
4 Day Working Week Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 4:00pm
My client is a specialist manufacturer of roll tooling, providing reliable subcontract machining services across the West Midlands and throughout Europe. They deliver complete end-to-end and turnkey machining solutions, alongside a nationwide 24/7 breakdown service and in-house machining for tubes and sections.
\nThey are looking to recruit a CNC Turner on a permanent basis to join a small, close-knit team of 78 staff. This is a hands-on role focused on setting and operating CNC lathes in a precision manufacturing environment.
\nKey Responsibilities:

Set and operate CNC turning machines with Fanuc controls

Set tooling, offsets, and prove out programs
\n - \n
Produce components from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
\n - \n
Operate CNC lathes with C and Y axis capability (desirable)
\n - \n
Carry out basic program edits at the machine
\n - \n
Monitor machining processes and maintain quality standards
\n - \n
Inspect components using appropriate measuring equipment
\n - \n
Work closely with the production team to meet schedules
\n - \n
Adhere to health, safety, and quality procedures
\n
Requirements:

Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Setter / Operator)

Strong experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes
\n - \n
Ability to set machines from scratch
\n - \n
Experience with C and Y axis lathes is desirable
\n - \n
Good understanding of machining principles and tooling
\n - \n
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
\n - \n
High attention to detail and quality-focused mindset

Reliable team player with good communication skills
