Job Description:

We are currently looking for HGV 2 Recycling and Household collections drivers/loaders for a client in Yeovil BA22

Monday - Friday

Starts 06.00 - until finish

Pay: £20 per hour

Job Overview:

You will be responsible for working as a team collecting recycling goods from the general publics homes safely and efficiently, ensuring timely collections while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.

This role requires a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism on the road.

Responsibilities

• Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations.
\n
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and safe for operation.
\n
• Load and unload goods, securing cargo appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
\n
• Deliver products to designated locations, following scheduled routes and timelines.
\n
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.
\n
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
\n
• Adhere to company policies regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
\n

Skills

\n
• Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid HGV licence.
\n
• Familiarity with flatbed operations is an advantage.
\n
• Strong navigation skills and the ability to read maps or use GPS systems effectively.
\n
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
\n
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
\n
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
\n
