People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client's established transport operation in Paisley.
\n This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay, a supportive working environment, and the chance to grow within a respected logistics business.

This role would suit applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shifts: Days and Nights Available
Pay Rate: £16.00 – £19.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

\n
• \n

  Operate and drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently

\n
• \n

  Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects

\n
• \n

  Complete loading and delivery duties as required

\n
• \n

  Handle double-decker trailers on certain routes

\n
• \n

  Ensure all loads are secure and delivered safely

\n
• \n

  Communicate effectively with transport and warehouse teams

\n
• \n

  Adhere to all traffic laws, road safety, and company procedures

\n

Essential Skills

\n
• \n

  Valid UK Category C+E Licence

\n
• \n

  Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card

\n
• \n

  No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes)

\n
• \n

  Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

\n
• \n

  Reliable, professional, and punctual

\n
• \n

  Strong understanding of road safety and compliance

\n

Desirable Experience

\n
• \n

  Previous experience in distribution or retail deliveries

\n

Training

\n
• \n

  Full onboarding support provided, including a two-day paid site induction

\n
• \n

  Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment

\n
