Maintenance Technician | Vehicle Technician | Mechanic\n
Maintenance Technician required for a busy workshop servicing and maintaining a varied fleet of rental vehicles. £1,500 joining bonus, Monday to Friday working, structured training and genuine career progression. Must have the right to work in the UK.

Location: Southampton (Romsey)\n
Pay: £15.69 - £16.00 per hour (circa £35,000+ per year depending on experience)\n
Joining Bonus: £1,500 (£750 paid in your first month's salary and £750 after successful completion of your 90-day probation)\n
Job Type: Permanent | Full Time\n
\nWorking Hours Workshop based role working 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.\n
\n Flexible working hours between 7:00am and 6:00pm, with most technicians working 8:00am - 5:00pm. No weekend work required. Saturday overtime is entirely optional and paid at enhanced rates.\n

- Carry out routine servicing and scheduled maintenance on fleet vehicles \n
- Complete brake, tyre and general mechanical repairs \n
- Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet safety and compliance standards \n
- Identify worn or damaged components before they result in vehicle breakdowns \n
- Carry out repairs and replace parts to manufacturer and company standards \n
- Use workshop systems to accurately record completed work \n
- Road test vehicles where appropriate and licence permits \n
- Complete work to a high standard whilst maintaining a safe and organised workshop \n

- Right to work in the UK \n
- Full UK driving licence \n
- Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification (NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent) \n
- Practical workshop experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs \n
- Good understanding of vehicle inspections, brakes, suspension, steering and general mechanical systems \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy workshop team \n
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop \n
