Workshop Supervisor
\nLocation: Warrington, Cheshire
\nSalary: £50K + Bonus + Overtime
\nHours: Mon Fri 08:00-16:45hrs
\nContract: Permanent
\nWe are looking for a motivated and reliable Workshop Supervisor to join our growing operations team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and has experience within a heavy engineering industry.
\nDue to business growth, we are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Supervisor who will be 50% hands-on in the workshop, and 50% supervisor duties.
\nAs the Workshop Supervisor, your duties will be: -

- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times. \n
- Managing a small team engineers to ensure orders are on schedule. \n
- Allocate workloads and communicate job/projects progression. \n
- Make recommendations/technical decisions on orders. \n
- Checking materials and parts are available for projects. \n
- Stripping, inspecting, rebuilding, and testing gearboxes/transmissions. \n
- Fault finding/repairing hydraulic, mechanical faults \n
- Completing reports and repair documentation \n
- Bench testing rebuilt units before they go back to customers. \n
- Liaising with field engineers or customers about technical issues \n
- Maintaining workshop cleanliness, tooling, and safety procedures \n
The successful Workshop Supervisor will have the following skills: -
\n- \n
- Experience managing small teams. \n
- Must be a time served Mechanical Engineer. \n
- Solid background in a Heavy Engineering/Mechanical Engineering role. \n
- Ideally have experience with presses/lathes/milling machines/surface grinders. \n
- Ability to read technical drawings. \n
- IT literate \n
- Confident and excellent communication skills. \n
- Excellent organisational skills. \n
