The Role\n

As Estimating Manager, you will take responsibility for leading and developing a team of six Estimators, overseeing tenders ranging from £100,000 to £10 million across a diverse portfolio of public sector construction projects.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in securing future projects, improving estimating procedures, and supporting the company's ongoing growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Lead, manage, mentor and develop a team of six Estimators.
\n
• Oversee the preparation, review and submission of competitive tenders and estimates.
\n
• Ensure all submissions are accurate, commercially robust and delivered within required timescales.
\n
• Prepare and review pricing for new-build and refurbishment construction projects.
\n
• Analyse tender documentation, specifications and project requirements.
\n
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
\n
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes, systems and efficiencies.
\n
• Support tender strategies and contribute to business development initiatives.
\n
• Provide commercial insight, reporting and forecasting to senior management.
\n
• Maintain awareness of market trends, pricing fluctuations and industry developments.
\n

About You\n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as an Estimating Manager or Senior Estimator within the construction industry.
\n
• Strong knowledge of both new-build and refurbishment projects.
\n
• Previous experience pricing and tendering for public sector projects.
\n
• Excellent commercial awareness and cost planning expertise.
\n
• Experience leading, mentoring or managing estimating teams.
\n
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
\n
• The ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
\n
• A proactive approach with a strong attention to detail.
\n
