Job Description

We are recruiting an Interim Project Surveyor for a leading Social Housing provider based in Leicester, supporting property services across the local region on a 4-month contract.\n
\nAs an InterimProject Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a range of surveying services across housing stock, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard, compliant with regulations, and fit for purpose. Whats on offer:\n
Rate:£35-£40 per hour\n
Contract:4-month interim assignment (potential for extension and to go permanent)\n
Working pattern:Full-time (3740 hours per week)\n

Key responsibilities include:\n
\n
    \n
  • Conducting property inspections, including planned works surveys
  • \n
  • Preparing specifications of work and managing contractors to deliverplanned works projects
  • \n
  • Frontline operational role supporting contract delivery and contractor performance
  • \n
  • Ensuring all works are completed in line with compliance and health & safety standards
  • \n
  • Managing projects within occupied properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residents
  • \n
  • Liaising with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication
  • \n
  • Monitoring budgets and ensuring cost-effective delivery of works
  • \n
  • Producing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records using internal systems
  • \n
  • Supporting the delivery of planned maintenance programmes
  • \n
The successful Interim Project Surveyor will have:\n
\n
    \n
  • Proven experience in a similar Building Surveyor role, ideally within Social Housing
  • \n
  • A recognised construction-related qualification (e.g. HNC, HND, Degree in Building Surveying or similar)
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge ofplanned works
  • \n
  • Experience managing contractors and overseeing works on site
  • \n
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirements
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
  • \n
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • \n
