Job Responsibilities: HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver

• Drive a Class 2 HGV refuse collection vehicle safely
\n
• Collect household and commercial waste from designated routes
\n
• Work as part of a refuse collection crew
\n
• Make sure bins are emptied correctly and safely returned
\n
• Carry out daily vehicle checks before and after use
\n
• Report any vehicle faults or safety issues
\n
• Follow road safety rules and council procedures at all times
\n
• Help ensure collections are completed on time
\n
• Support other team duties when needed
\n

Person Specification: HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver

\n
• Must have a valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV driving licence
\n
• Experience of driving large goods vehicles is preferred
\n
• Able to work safely and follow instructions
\n
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather
\n
• Reliable and punctual
\n
• Good awareness of road safety
\n
• Able to work well as part of a team
\n
• Positive and responsible attitude towards safety and customers
\n
• Basic understanding of vehicle checks and maintenance reporting
\n
