\n Our Engine Test Technicians are responsible for carrying out tests on complete engines or sub-assemblies, also rigging and maintaining the test hardware. Engine Test Technicians are also responsible for operation and programming of automated test equipment, in accordance with Cosworth standards and practices.
The Role:

Fitting, removing and operation of engines (part or whole) onto dynamometers or motor rigs.
\n - \n
Fitting and set up of instrumentation onto test pieces.
\n - \n
Operation, maintenance, and calibration of common test bed equipment.
\n - \n
Able to run dynos and rigs control systems in test both manual and automatic modes.
\n - \n
Be able to change testbed control system variables at engineers direction.
\n - \n
Trouble shoot and resolve issues arising that prevent test work progressing.
\n - \n
Have familiarity with at least one engine ECU software.
\n - \n
Assist dyno engineering with test bed conversions/upgrades as required.
\n - \n
Maintain paperwork for tracking, lifting, fault database, maintenance sheets, and process measurements/checks.
\n - \n
Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
\n - \n
Support the Companys compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 by following company policy and best practice.

Previous experience working in an engine test environment.
\n - \n
Manual dexterity.
\n - \n
A customer focused approach.
\n - \n
Apply structural logical approach to work, working in a clean organised manner.
\n - \n
Excellent time management and planning skills.
\n - \n
Self-motivated.
\n - \n
Confident and clear communication; verbal and written.
\n - \n
Good understanding of internal combustion engines and engine test methodologies.
\n - \n
BTEC, ONC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
