CNC Miller / Setter-Operator - Precision Engineering (Permanent)

A successful, expanding precision engineering business is looking to add experienced CNC Millers to its team due to continued growth.

This role would suit a time-served or highly experienced CNC Miller / Setter-Operator who can hit the ground running. You'll be working on varied components across a range of metals, batch sizes and complexity, using 3-axis CNC milling machines with Mazatrol or FANUC controls. Basic inspection and a strong eye for detail are essential, and programming ability is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities:

  Set and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components

\n
• \n

  Understand engineering drawings and job specifications to plan set-ups

\n
• \n

  Program/work with offsets where required (Mazatrol or FANUC)

\n
• \n

  Monitor machining operations, making adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy

\n
• \n

  Inspect parts using basic measuring equipment to ensure they meet specification

\n
• \n

  Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area

\n

Requirements (Essential):

\n
• \n

  Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Setter-Operator

\n
• \n

  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

\n
• \n

  Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling and inspection basics

\n
• \n

  Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

\n
• \n

  Able to work independently and as part of a team

\n

Desirable:

\n
• \n

  Offline programming capability (required for the top end of the pay range)

\n
• \n

  EdgeCAM experience

\n
