Instrument & Analyser Technician
\nLocation: Hull
Job Type: Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Instrument & Analyser Technician to join a leading process manufacturing business operating a high-hazard COMAH site.
\nWorking as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team, you'll be responsible for maintaining the reliability, safety and performance of critical instrumentation and analyser systems within a continuous process environment.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on instrumentation and analyser systems. \n
- Fault find, repair and calibrate process analysers including GC, NIR, TOC, pH and conductivity analysers. \n
- Perform hazardous area inspections in accordance with IEC60079. \n
- Maintain safety-critical instrumentation and gas detection systems. \n
- Support installation, commissioning and continuous improvement projects. \n
- Work within Permit to Work systems and supervise contractors where required. \n
- Record maintenance activities using SAP or similar CMMS. \n
Experience & Qualifications
\nYou will have experience within the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas or other COMAH process industries
\n- \n
- Recognised apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3/ONC or equivalent. \n
- Current CompEx Ex01-Ex04 certification. \n
- Strong knowledge of ATEX, DSEAR and instrument fault finding. \n
- \n
- Experience maintaining industrial analyser systems such as GC, NIR, TOC, pH and conductivity analysers. \n
- \n
- Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC61511). \n
- Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills. \n
- Experience with Honeywell DCS, SAP, Emerson AMS, FieldCare, Swagelok or 18th Edition is advantageous. \n
